We read reviews online. We watch videos of the product on YouTube. We read the industry magazines. We talk about it on social media. We relay on other people’s opinions and understandably so, as often buying new tools for musicians can be expensive. But what are the best tools?
The best tools are the ones that help us to create, but gets least on the way of creating. We want all the bells and whistles, we want our new guitar to make a cup of coffee for us. We want the new recording software to be able to reproduce the same results as the legendary Abbey road studios. But what if less is more? What if all we need is a simple setup that allows us to create, not come a thousand page manuals to learn the most basic functions.
