Animals and intuition

Intuition is a sense just like hearing, seeing or tasting. For many of us it can be a sense that gets oppressed over the years. It is not something that is really encouraged in education or society. We are encouraged to practice critical and analytical thinking. The problem is, that this makes our thinking and decision making linear, and we ignore whole other dimension. A lot of people like to dismiss intuition as rubbish, as it is hard to categorize scientifically. But even Albert Einstein said “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.”  I have followed my intuition most of my life, even when sometimes the logic defies it. It has served me well. In fact, when I go against it, trying to fit into someone else mold, the results are chaotic. The times when I have oppressed that sound inside me are some of the darkest times in my life. And only that voice inside got me out of the darkness and back on track.  For me the best way to connect with my intuition, when I feel lost, is to connect with animals. They are beautifully tuned to their intuition. I can build connection with animals easily. I approach them with open heart and respect. And I believe, due to their intuition they can feel it. It is a wonderful way to connect with nature. Whatever problems you have in life, spending time in nature and with animals can bring you clarity, because you start to listen to your intuition again.J.P.
