Back in May, it was my fortieth birthday, and as I would imagine it being quite natural, I did take stock on my life. I realised that I had a quite few more years left, but to make the best of them I needed to make sure I was in a good health. I would say I was about ten kilograms over my normal weight. But even more so, the percentage of fat in my body compared to muscle. So it was time to fix things permanently this time.
I have always had an interest in nutrition, so I have good idea what works and what does not when it comes to diet. I wanted to lose as much of my body fat, without losing muscle. And in my experience the best way to d this is the ketogenic diet. This time I did my research, a book called Keto Clarity is a great resource on the subject. And it has been a game changer for me. I lost the extra weight, but also put on extra muscle 🙂 And I genuinely feel much younger now than I did five years a go.
The point is though, this approach is not for every one, even though it has a ridiculously high success rate. The trick is to find what works for you the best, what you can make as a part of your lifestyle, rather than a quick fix.
