Deeper Than Before

Well it’s that time of the year again when all the lovers get all soft and mushy, the restaurant bookings (and prices) go up for one night, ridiculous amount of roses are sold through the shops… Obviously I am talking about the Valentine’s day. Like it or not, it is here ๐Ÿ˜€

So I thought I’ll take a break from some of the recently heavy song subjects and give ago at writing about something most songs are about, love. Now how successful I was at not making it heavy once again? That is up for you to decide ๐Ÿ˜‰

When you are in love with someone, it can be debilitating to be apart from them. And I think musicians know this feeling very well. It is important in any relationship not to forget that you need to be an individual as well. And sometimes being apart from someone you love, only strengthens the feelings you have for them. But you still need to take care of that relationship even when you are apart, as too much of distance can easily make you grow apart.

Let’s face it, one thing any intimate relationship needs is intimacy. If the intimacy is ignored, with time you will end up just as friends… I know many would like to detest this, but it is a simple fact. Lust and attraction is what gets our relationships off the ground, but attachment is what keeps it together. Now let me get little bit scientific here, not very “romantic” I know, but stay with me. The expert scientists in the field of “relationship” believe there are two hormones that strengthens the feeling of attachment, oxytocin and vasopressin. Both are released during an orgasm (so yes girls, I did just give you an excuse blame bad sex…). Both are believed to strengthen the attachment between partners.

The hormonal effect and emotional side of our brain is way too strong for our practical side to make relationship last based only on “practical reasons”. So get your partner in the bed ๐Ÿ˜‰ And if you are having trouble doing that, you should work on the equally important aspect of your relationship, which is communication.

So there you go ๐Ÿ˜‰ You once again got a strange peak in to the inner workings of the complex thoughts that go through my head in the process of writing a simple love song ๐Ÿ˜€ Hope you have a great valentine’s weekend. And if you are single, embrace it as well. The desperate search for love hardly ever results in a great relationship. Live your life to the fullest, have some fun, go out and do things. Along the way Love might just find you ๐Ÿ˜‰
