To pay or not to pay?

musicmoneyThere are many services out there for independent musicians and many of them unfortunately don’t eve return the artists financial investment. I have a plan to invest (waste in some cases) some money to try some of these out and share my experiences with my fellow musicians 🙂 This is going to be a tedious task and it will take some time to accomplish.

But I need the help of my fellow musicians. If you have used a particular service, I’d like to hear it. Also if there are some services you like me to look into, please let me know. You can leave comments on this post, contact me at twitter @jpkalliomusic, on Facebook at Facebook.com/jpkalliomusic or you can email me at [email protected]

I’m hoping in the long run we could build a database that musicians could refer to and check if a particular service is worth the investment. If we get enough musicians involved we might be able to make the life of the scammers in the business just that little bit more difficult. So I also ask you share this blog post with as many musicians as possible.

There is a massive business making money out of musicians who finance their passion with their “day jobs” and are dreaming of someday making a living with music. This part of the industry is unregulated and there is a lot of mixed information online. So I am hoping to bring some clarity on which of these services are worth investing in.

Looking forward to hearing from my fellow musicians.
