June 5th last (two) weeks posts

J.P Kallio Songwriting

This and last week I put lot of time aside to write new music. I mean I write all the time, but from time to time I need to make it a daily habit. It’s going great by the way πŸ™‚

Next Tuesday, the 10th of June my new album “Read Between The Lines” will be out. You can still pre-order it from the iTunes for a discount price. But the best deal will always be offered to my loyal followers on my mailing list πŸ™‚
Last week I didn’t write this update post, as there was only two posts so this week we have double the amour of catching up to do, so lets get to it.Read between the lines

Week before last (nearly two weeks a go) I had another new song up on my website. This one touched on the subject of domestic violence. Check it out here:

Also the same week I had a quite straight talking rant on how we should and should not promote music. Check it out here:

Music does not promote itself

Last weeks song proved to me once again that I should never try to assume which songs people will like and which they don’t. This one really got you guys hitting the share buttons hard. Thank you!

Knocked Down

I had a chat with Walter, the man behind the Global Texan Chronicles about possible music business related blog subject and he reminded me of something I get asked time and time again. How do yo get to tour with your band? This subject will be spread over several posts and here is the first one:

How to tour abroad with your band

It is no secret that songwriting is a big passion of mine and I can talk about it for hours. But just not to alienate my self from all of my friends, I try not to talk about it all the time πŸ˜€ So here is a blog post on some tips on songwriting to get of my chest and to get through my next dinner without annoying every one around the table πŸ˜‰

On Songwriting

Also it was time for some music. This week I reviewed a great album by Ben Reel, “Darkness & The Light” Check it out here:
