Saturday Morning Coffee

Coffeegrains Saturday morning peaks it’s light through the shades. My eyelids are struggling to find the strength to open up. The seagulls are making a racket feasting on the Friday night’s leftovers on the streets of the city outside. Music is my job and my life, so I have nowhere to be for several hours, no reason to get up just yet. But I don’t mind. I like the light in the morning. I like the feeling of slowly getting to grips with reality and my surroundings. I love being alive.

Little by little I let my body wake up. I move my toes, feel my calf muscles, my back and I thank for another day it is letting me not be in pain. I slowly lift my body and sit on the edge of the bed. My dazed mind making sense of the sounds coming from outside. I rise up, and make my way down the stairs. Coffee, man needs coffee to start the day.
