Dreams

DreamsWe all have dreams, they might be big or small. They might be the driving force behind what we do, or they might be something buried deep down in our soul. When we are kids, we dream big. We believe everything is possible. But the more we listen to the adults around us, the more we lose hope.

Then somewhere along the way we start to believe this notion that we should settle for the basic things in life, home, food, family, a holiday once a year, job… Most of them are great things, and we should appreciate them, but they should never be the reason why we give up on our dreams. That kid who thought everything is possible, you know what? he was right! I hear all the time people say I wish I would have learned to play guitar… What’s stopping you? Your age? Bull crap! Sorry, but it is bull crap. You are never too old to learn a new skill.

I dream a lot and I dream big. I dream of things that I know I better not talk about too much as people would think I am mad 😀 You see that’s where the society we live in is messed up. I am supposed to know that my dreams are impossible… Well you know what? Last year I dreamed about writing 52 songs in 52 weeks, releasing four albums of my original music in one year. I only told this dream to very few people around me. Some thought I was mad, but some had faith in me. Guess what? If you clicked the play button in the Soundcloud player above, you are listening to song number 51 and next week will see the 52nd song. I released four albums and before the year is over there will be exclusive EP release as well.

You see, you can dream and you can make those dreams reality. It is the good dreams that make this world of ours a better place. And it is the people who make their dreams reality, who change the world. So don’t just let those dreams die with you, make them reality 🙂
