We want to create. It is in our blood. It’s what makes us human beings. Sometimes in the middle of the busy life we live these days we forget that. And we are left with this void within us. Like we feel somehow empty. We can’t fill this void by watching TV, or by getting drunk. I suppose some of us have forgotten what it feels like to create something and we spend our lives searching happiness, without knowing what it is that makes us happy.
Think for a while, do you feel you are fulfilling your needs? Do you feel you are living your life to its full potential? Sure there is always room for improvement, but you do know if you are on the right path, or even more so you know when you are on the wrong path. Look, there are weeks when I get so wrapped up in to the promotion side of music, that if I did not stop 2 a.m. on Saturday morning to write a blog post, I’d probably would feel lost on my path. I need to write songs, or blog posts, edit videos, take photos. If I don’t, I will feel like I am suffocating.
It is no one else’s job to make you happy. You are responsible of your own happiness. And it is with in your own actions that you can make a change if you are not happy. So try to create something, let your imagination guide you and see what comes up. I am an artist, my mother is an artist. So recognising the need to create something comes naturally to me. And I always recognised the need for this. But so many people around me have the desire to do something, but lack the willpower to take action. If you wait for the right time, it will never come. If you blame life getting on the way, it will always do that. So go and create something today 🙂
