Another week in the bag! I’ve been feeling the pressures of my self set project or recording 52 songs in 52 weeks more this week than ever before, so the week 42 was the one that finally decided to test me 😀 I’ve been finishing a lot of the tracks for the Fourth album, and I am nearly there. It’s amazing when you get a bit tired and overworked, how you start to doubt the most ridiculous things and this of course slows down the progress. But once again I was reminded to just to go for a long walk, get a good night’s sleep, listen back with a fresh pair of ears and trust your gut.
But even in the midst of it all I managed to keep the blog posts coming 🙂 So lets have a look at what got posted this week.
This week’s song “You and I” was a pretty deep look at some of the tough times in a relationship. I’m sure we’ve all been there one time or another. Check it out here and let me know what you think:
My Monday blog post was a look at what we think is so important part of being musician, Talent. I personally think talent is very misunderstood and people think you either have it or not. Check out my view on it here:
Last week there was a massive protest against the introduction of Water charges in Ireland. I usually don’t voice my political opinions, but the blatant cover up on this subject got my blood boiling. Read all about it here:
I decided to give away another free song this week, did you get your copy? If so, what did you think of it? And if not, head over here to find out how you can get it:
Back in June I did a few posts on songwriting. Now I have decided to continue the series. Expect to get some handy songwriting tips from time to time. Here is the 3rd Part in the series:
Well there you go, I’m sure this will keep you reading for a little while. I’ll have more posts on the way next week. Until then, stay safe 🙂
