10th of August Blog update

workingontheroadAs you might have noticed, I revved up my blog posting in the past month or so. It’s been personal challenge. But as always the thought of churning out six blog posts a week sounds much more daunting than it really is ๐Ÿ™‚ Even while on tour with Sliotar I found my time to write. And it’s bit like my songwriting, the more I write, the more I seem to enjoy it. Now here’s me hoping you will enjoy my posts too ๐Ÿ˜‰

So as always we start with this weeks song “Pain”. The song once again was just thoughts running out of my head and making its way in to the song, but it’s all explained in the blog post:

Pain

On Monday I was on my way home. We drove across Austria to Germany and in to the Munich airport. Through out the drive and in the airport I got thinking about the live sound and what you do when things go wrong. And the result is a blog post that got more views than any other of my blog posts so far and only in a week!

Bad Live Sound

In the past few months I’ve been writing a series of blog posts on How to tour abroad with your band. The third part looks in to the booking of the shows. Check it out here:

How to tour abroad with your band part 3

It’s no secret I get very passioned about what I do. I take music as a serious career, not just a hobby, and I work very hard at it. Here’s a blog post on how people see us musicians, and what it really is all about:

Music as a skilled trade

And I suppose the week would not be over without one of my rants ๐Ÿ˜‰ I believe the biggest secret behind any successful person is the fact that they did not give-up, but not every one is cut out for it. So here’s some signs to keep a eye on, if you think the music or arts are not working for you:

10 reasons to give up on your art

So thats all from this week. Let me know what you think of the posts. And as always if there is something you think I should write about, let me know ๐Ÿ™‚
